The Methodological Cabinet as a Way to Develop Management Capacities in the Agrarian University of Havana

The aim of this article is to present the experience of the methodological cabinet at the Agrarian University of Havana, as part of a project with the European Union named: Strengthening Management Capacities of Cuban Entities. It focuses on the results achieved by different groups of beneficiaries in the province of Mayabeque. The techniques and methods used were observation, documentary review, open interviews to specialists, and the Likert scale. The project (through the methodological cabinet) has strengthened capacities, integration, and synergies among university managers, management professors, and local actors, based on a locally created innovative system. It means a progression in the evolution of institutional culture with a strong orientation toward the local surroundings and a strategic approach, which will contribute to higher pertinence of this university.
