Factors Promoting Knowledge Management for Cuban Local Development

Abstract

Starting  from  the  theory  on  knowledge  management  and  local  development,   a number of factors promoting knowledge management for Cuban local development were identified.  Such factors were leadership,  strategical  planning,  kwnoledge  management culture, incentive mechanisms,  local infrastructure for knowledge management,  variety, as well as information  and communications  technology.  Findings  allow the design and development of models and a system for knowledge management benefiting local development.
