    Abstract

    This paper presents the approach, conceptual bases, and techniques required for innovation-oriented management. This approach is used for training company executives at the Higher School for State and Government Cadre Training, in Cuba. The innovations presented by the executives during the course included the techniques suggested, which responded to the priorities and challenges stated in the Guidelines of the Economic and Social Policies in Cuba. First, a thorough diagnostic was performed to determine the causes that hinder the desired performance of companies and their strategic projections and innovation. The results were applied in

    14 organizations from various sectors, and included the participation of more than 90 executives; it was helpful to assess the usefulness of innovation-oriented management.
