Objective: to develop a procedure for the management of creative industries projects for the sustainability of historic centers.
Methods: documentary review from national and international bibliographic sources and field work.
Main results: the procedure has provided methodological and practical inputs so that the decision-makers of the Offices of the Historian/Conservator and other actors involved, based on the use of the cultural heritage contained in the historic center, and the articulation of the priorities and potentialities of this, manage creative industry projects as alternatives to achieve the sustainability of these historic centers.
Conclusions: the presented procedure acts as a tool that allows the management of creative industry projects (CIP), with a systemic approach, taking advantage of the potential of the cultural heritage contained in historic centers, to respond to their priorities in relation to the sustainability, giving prominence to the actors involved in the process.
