Definition of Control Indicators for the Strategic Unit of Science and Technology at the University of Camagüey, Cuba

This research aims to define a number of control indicators by integrating the balanced scorecard to describe the strategy, and the expert criteria method to select the most suitable indicators. Thus, decision making related to research work at the University of Camagüey becomes more reliable and punctual due to the control of science-and-technology strategy through these indicators. Similar experiences reported by other Cuban universities further support the findings. A dramatic reduction of unsuitable indicators and the addition of others much more suitable constitute the most significant result.
