The Arrangement Method and Local Innovative Production Systems in Cuban Municipalities

Abstract

Some Cuban production instances are presented under the Approach of Arrangements and Local Innovative Production Systems, carried out as part of the Local Agricultural Innovation Program, led by the National Institute of Agricultural Sciences. This study was conducted through semi-structured interviews, observation guides and questionnaires to show the effectiveness of that kind of initiatives, policies and innovations generated, as well as interactive learning processes for local improvement. Some obstacles observed were related to funding and the lack of a regulatory financing framework.
