The university context has evolved considerably in Latin America the last 20 years. One of the pillars has been the current need for integration of different processes without oversizing of the importance of each other.
In this sense, problems are identified in the integration process, given that changes in the structures, friction arising from cultures, different methods and styles, flexibility and cause little delay in responding to opportunities or threats. These elements contrast with obtaining benefits from specialization and utilization of installed capacity if the process is not developed with proper alignment criteria in the universities.
The objective of this research is to explore the constraints of limited success in certain integration processes. The main result is the description of the implications of replacing font management synergy with new integrated into a group of Latin American universities processes.
