Abstract

The authors examined some general facts to be taken into account in designing new tourist products  from nature and achieving  an efficient  tourism management.  Findings showed  that  effectiveness,  efficiency,  and  sustainability  of  the tourist-product  design were affected by insufficient utilization of community knowledge and skills, people’s ignorance  on  tourist  projects  under  development,  people’s  noninvolvement  in  these projects,   and   insignificant   impact   of   these   projects   upon   local   and  community development.  Therefore,  the  authors  recommended  to divide  the  tourist  market  into segments,  perform  a socio-economic  and  environmental  diagnosis  in  an  attempt  to collect data for strategies formulation,  design the tourist product goal and determine its impact upon local development, and also find out the tourist load capacity of the natural area. The authors also suggested to design a strategical mapping of the area as well as marketing mechanism.
