Economic Assessment of Environment-Forestry Goods and Services in the Río Máximo Wildlife Refuge from Camaguey

The aim of this study was appraising environment-forestry goods and services in the Río Máximo Wildlife Refuge —one of the six internationally relevant Cuban natural wetlands— based on an economic policy including marketing items. The dialectic historical-logical research method was applied to find out essential relations and interpretations according to the current Cuban context, state a number of interrelations, and design a tool to be implemented. Dialectic and historical materialism methodology was used to prove, as a whole, nature materialistic explanation and also human actions from a historical and social point of view based on objective laws. The appraisal of environment-forestry goods and services in this ecosystem was over eight thousand pesos a year.
