Corporative social responsibility in Mexican sugar Industry was assessed due to its impact upon environment. To this end, economic, environmental, and social dimensions were taken into account. The last one was evaluated in several organizations' performance. The need of a procedure to assess social responsibility in the sugar industry was confirmed. This procedure must serve the purpose of evaluating responsibility in the organizations' performance and also training managers for the evaluation of externalities.
