Strengthening the environmental dimension within the strategic management of communal activities in Cumanayagua

Objective: To integrate the environmental dimension into strategic planning at the Cumanayagua Community Services Base Business Unit through concrete and measurable actions that respond to the current context and involve relevant stakeholders.
Materials and methods: The following methods were primarily used: historical-logical; analysis-synthesis; strategic tools derived from the analysis of the internal and external environment to correct weaknesses, address threats, maintain strengths, and exploit opportunities; as well as empirical methods such as literature reviews, informal interviews, direct observations, and surveys.
Results: Actions derived from the general strategic problem were established and formulated to seek to strengthen opportunities and reduce threats related to environmental management. This made it possible to address future needs and provide the organization with competitive advantages; it also made it possible to identify strengths to achieve the desired goals.
Conclusions: The study contributed to capitalizing on strengths, mitigating weaknesses, exploiting opportunities, and proactively addressing threats in order to contribute to sustainability in the locality.
