          Abstract

Information  management  and  its  relation  to information  technology  with  regard  to professional training for undergraduates in Economics were assessed. The need of systematically  developing  information-management  skills  through  training  was evidenced. A strategy based on the performanc e of a number of activities using a set of infotechnological tools was elaborated. Such a strategy enhances undergraduates' knowledge   on  mechanisms   for  navigation,   searching,   reviewing,  processing,   and socializing by digital information.
