A Dialectical Materialistic Interpretation of Knowledge Management Process

Abstract

Knowledge management theory is critically evaluated based on a bibliographi-
cal review embracing classis sources and some contemporary authors. Positive
and negative elements characterizing definitions are identified and the principal
theoretical trends are assessed. Management process and process management
are defined as two entities pertaining to knowledge management in an attempt to
clearly underestand its practical contradiction within the organizational field. A nou-
veau view on knowledge management from a dialectical materialistic perspective
is explained by detaching this phenomenon into two processes: the management
process and the knowledge production-and-reproduction process.
