Aim: Determine the factors that significantly drive the development of competitiveness in a pharmaceutical company that produces generic drugs.
Methods and techniques: It use the Oriente Pharmaceutical Laboratory Company of the Superior Organization of Business Management "BioCubaFarma", as a case study.
Primary data was collected through survey. The study population was a set of factors that determine business competitiveness, obtained from the literature review; in which the survey is used with a scale of 1-5 that was carried out through the checklist instrument supervised by a group of experts. To evaluate the different determining factors of competitiveness, the exploratory factorial analysis technique was used.
Main results: It provides a procedure that allowed determining the factors that significantly affect the improvement of the development of competitiveness, which represents a practical benefit, which allows continuous improvement in the development of competitiveness in the Oriente Pharmaceutical Laboratory Company.
Conclusions: The result obtained is consistent with what has been said both in theory and in practice and responds to the objective by determining the factors that have a significant impact on improving the development of the competitiveness of a pharmaceutical company that produces generic drugs that, knowing them, measuring them, control them are corrected and directed according to the goals of the company's competitive strategy and not done randomly.
