Abstract

Aim: To design a procedure for measuring the management of maintenance planning based on fuzzy logic that creates a mathematical model to obtain an indicator for its evaluation.

Methods: Empirical and theoretical methods were used for analysis and synthesis of maintenance planning measurements, and its relation to business planning and decision-making. The study used bibliographic search, process modeling, and mathematical modeling through fuzzy logic, expert opinion, and Microsoft Office and Minitab.

Main results: The procedure results in an evaluation of the current situation of planning to make timely decisions associated with the allocation of human and material resources.

Conclusions: The value of indicator state of maintenance planning was regular (0.615 2), whereas variables resources and information were deficient. This is in connection to the stages of organization and implementation of maintenance planning. The uncertainty of maintenance planning explains the application of fuzzy logic to model evaluation in a simple way, considering the level of difficulty of the process variable.
