Aim: To design optimizing actions of teacher scientific management, as the expression of research performance that contributes to addressing professional issues at the University of Camagüey, Cuba.
Methods and techniques: The historical-logical, analytical-synthetic, measurement and modeling methods were used, along with the survey, interview, documentary analysis, and bibliographic review.
Main results: Several actions were suggested for teachers to improve science management to address professional problems, using the advantages of information and communication technologies for collaborative work that favors research performance.
Conclusions: University teachers enhance their research performance by optimizing science management to address professional problems, using the advantages of information and communication technologies for collaborative work that favors research performance.
