Finding an Optimal Structure of Sugarcane Varieties and Strains in Sugarcane Manufacturing Enterprises

Abstract

An economic-mathematical model with an entire binary programming and a computer assisted system were designed and applied in order to fi nd out an optimal structure of sugarcane varieties and strains in sugarcane manufacturing enterprises from western provinces. This constitutes a scientific novelty in relation to previous studies. The design, elaboration, and application of a computer assisted system supported by the above mentioned model resulted in a sugarcane production increase up to 18 024,04 tons representing a $ 917 423,56 additional gross income for producing entities.
