Abstract

In the work underlying the importance of monitoring for the effective operation and evaluation of the Internal Control System (ICS) also establish indicators for evaluation. As problem: ICS contextualization of Cuban organizations. Objective: Develop a process for monitoring and evaluation of ICS.

The research methodology was based on research methods and techniques such as: historical-logical analysis; systemic structural-functional approach, expert judgment, triangulation of information, descriptive statistics, pre-experiment; modeling.

As theoretical results: a model and method for monitoring and evaluation of the ICS. The scientific novelty is revealing that the relevance of the ICS is due to the implementation of a monitoring that considers the particular contexts of the organizations where it is implanted.

Its practical significance is that it fortifiesthe effectiveness of the ICS, as the organization provides a tool to carry out monitoring and evaluation of ICS correctly.

The practical results were, on average, in increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of ICS, through proper management of significant risks and lower costs. Furthermore, improved understanding by management of ICS in practice. This experience proves positive work outcomes.
