Indicators of Sustainable Development Contribution by a Savings and Loans Bank

Abstract

There are studies in the cooperative sector and its contribution to sustainable development of regions or countries. However, no such studies have been done of the Savings and Loans Cooperatives in Mexico. That deficiency led to determination of indicators of sustainable development contribution in a region, for the Santa Maria Guadalupe Savings and Loans Bank, state of Jalisco. Deductive logic, analysissynthesis, statistical and expert methods, and modeling, were used to provide a logical sequence to design the methodological-logical approach used, instrument reliability, and the results achieved. The final result was a design of indicators of sustainable development contribution for one type of organization, where it is an important factor of competitiveness advantage, through an in-context methodology.
