A diagnostic made to executives from Camaguey, Cuba, on non-structured decision making in their organizations, is presented in this paper. The main methods are associated with materialistic dialectics; the empirical methods included surveys, and statistical analysis techniques. Relevant limitations were identified, among them, methodological and theoretical deficiencies that affect decision making and the solution of non-structured problems. The pertinence of this research is given by the relationship with technological updating for company management, decision making, and strategic, non-structured, significant, and transcendental problem identification and solution. The ever-uncertain and changing environments limit the efficacy of decision making and the accomplishment of expected results.
