Procedure for cost efficiency of package service

Abstract

Objective: To apply a procedure to determine the cost efficiency of the package service through stochastic frontier analysis at the Sancti Spíritus Post Office.
Methods and techniques: The analysis and
synthesis of the information, for the review of the scientific literature and to develop the steps and the relevance of the use of mathematical techniques;
the historical-logical, for the analysis of the stages through which the package service passed and in the corroboration of the problem raised; the inductive-deductive, in the design of the steps of the proposed procedure; and the structural
systemic in the analysis of the package service from the practical perspective, through its decomposition in the elements that integrate it.
Main results: It contributes to the improvement of the paradigms of the quality indicators of package services, specifically those related to those of
packages.
Conclusions: The application of the stochastic frontier analysis, as a contribution to the cost efficiency of the package service, becomes a comprehensive analysis tool of the effectiveness of
business management. The applied procedure constitutes a scientific tool that helps the directors of the Sancti Spíritus Post Office to make decisions based on the improvement of the paradigms of the quality indicators of the package service.
