Abstract

This paper provides theoretical grounds for the relationship between professional performance and knowledge management, based on the assumption that human values are the driving force of professional performance. Moreover, the desired professional performance for education was approached, pursuing implementation in educational practice. Hence, predictive and alternative actions must be derived, in order to promote harmonic individual and organizational changes in pedagogic professionalization. This should be supported by permanent pedagogical discussions, content re-interpreting, and the search for better ways to address professional problems in terms of quality in higher education.
